“A fantastic platform on which to launch the US side of our fast developing business”

The Tradebridge Program in which we recently had the opportunity to participate in has been fantastic platform on which to launch the US side of our fast developing business.

Alison and the local Enterprise Team provided a highly relevant and structured program on which we were able to glean all the requisite tools to make decisions on US market entry.

The meetings provided had clearly been thought through by all the Tradebridge team, were well planned and were highly relevant in the context of our specific industry.  Critically for Poachers as a business the entire value chain was covered in the course of those meetings: Importer to Distributor to End Customer both on trade and off trade. This provided a superb overview of the marketplace from both a regulatory, customer and importantly cultural perspective.

The Tradebridge team in Savanah were also a real pleasure to work with, and extremely helpful in providing key cultural insights on doing business in the United States.

As always the measure of any successful trade initiative is how it follows through. I am delighted to say that we have established very tangible relationships to allow us to initiate and develop the US side of our business.

It is an absolute credit too Alison and all those involved on the Tradebridge initiative from the Wexford Enterprise Centre and the Local Enterprise Bord: Tom, Eamon and Brendan

A superb, structured and highly relevant programme for any small business looking at the United States as a viable market opportunity.

“extremely effective in getting face to face time with exactly the right people from our target market”

Kent Stainless participated in the business development trade mission in October 2018 organised by Tradebridge here in Wexford and SEDA in Savannah.

Specifically, our experience was to have an agenda set up which involved 8 meetings in 2 full days.  We have taken part in trade missions before where a volume of meetings like this means perhaps 2-3 of the meetings would be relevant – all 8 in this case were relevant.  This was a highly efficient use of our time and was extremely effective in getting face to face time with exactly the right people from our target market.

The professionalism demonstrated by the organising parties mark this out as a template for future trade missions.  Having evaluated our first business trip to the USA we can see now that Savannah is probably the right size to begin our business development there.  It’s a beautiful city, relatively easy to navigate and we met a group of extremely friendly and professional people with an open mind to new ideas for their projects.

We will certainly be participating again, and we recommend other companies to use Savannah as a springboard for their entry to the USA.

I look forward to a long and successful relationship with the people and businesses of Savannah.

Thanks Tradebridge for all you have done for us
