Tradebridge has a simple aim: To create NEW TRADE OPPORTUNITIES between Wexford & Savannah

So, why Wexford & Savannah?

The majority of Wexford famine emigrants settled in Savannah, Georgia. By the mid 1800s 25% of the white Savannah population was from Ireland and 56% of those Irish were from Co. Wexford.

Many of those Wexford people contributed greatly towards shaping the success of Savannah as we know it today. Savannah is now home to the second largest port on the East Coast of the USA.

In recent years excellent civic relations have been nurtured between Wexford & Savannah.

Tradebridge has come to life with a simple vision; to open new trade opportunities between the regions. This innovative collaboration is between Wexford Enterprise Centre, Wexford County Council . Savannah Economic Development Authority and World Trade Center Savannah. It is also fully supported by Enterprise Ireland and Wexford Chambers

The first phase of the initiative will see 5 Wexford companies exporting to Savannah and 5 Savannah companies exporting to Europe with Wexford as their test market & support hub. In both Wexford & Savannah Development Officers have been appointed with the sole aim of ensuring the success of those companies chosen to be part of Phase 1 of Tradebridge.

So what does a company need to be part of the phase one ?

  • Established 18 months
  • Be Savannah or Wexford based
  • Be experienced exporting to any other region
  • Closing date for expressions of interest is June 30 2018.
